So here are the pictures that I promised you of the front yard!

Before:

                                                                      Before:
            Afterwards:
(Of course this isn't the "finished" look. We still want to add more bushes and flowers in the front, but you get the idea)

Palms will hopefully continue to grow bigger
I want to add some little flowers around the sago palms
                                                               Azaleas in bloom
Other flowers in our yard that are in bloom!

The bees pollinateing the blueberry bush

My rose bush survived the "hard" freeze and had three blooms on it this month!

I LOVE working in the garden. I hope to continue to add more and more flowers to our yard!
The only thing I haven't taken pictures of yet is the trees we planted.

Last Weekend

Going back to last weekend..
Friday: Ballet Magnificat Performance! I arrived at about 4p.m. at the auditorium and Ballet Magnificat was already there setting up. Seriously these dancers are like celebrities to me..haha! Angelina Jolie could walk by and I probably wouldn't care, but if you say "Ballet Magnificat!" I would be all over :)
No, I'm not that bad...ok,ok maybe a little!
We staged our piece (yes, right in front of all the BM dancers) and then joined them for warm-ups (basically a whole barre’ class) which included worship and prayer. It was amazing to be in the middle of it all! The day in Ballet Magnificats world!! It was a huge blessing and wonderful experience!
Saturday and Sunday, Josh and I got to spend the day together. My dad called me on Saturday morning and told me that a nursery next to their house went out of business and they just left all their plants and they were throwing them in a burn pile. Most of them were cypress trees and a few unknown bushes. He looked them over and they all were alive, they just were deprived of water and fertilizer. When we first bought the house we had in the back of our heads (and when the money allowed) to get trees to plant lining the back of our property. Right now you can see our neighbors, and growing up in the country, I don't like seeing houses, haha! I like to feel like I'm secluded from everyone. So, we loaded up our trailer and headed over there. My dad, Josh and I started loading the trailer with good size cypress trees (about 4-5 ft tall). When we finally got home and counted them we had over 90 trees, yikes!!! We sorted through the real green ones and counted how many we would need in the back. We dug 28 holes that day, and then planted them!!! Yes, I helped! Most people would cringe at the idea; no it wasn't fun, but I definitely got a workout and a tan, and soon my back yard will look real nice, so it's all good :) Once again blessed with FREE trees (these would have cost us over $300 bucks).
Our neighbors invited us over for a birthday cookout, so we enjoyed the rest of the evening playing games (the guys did) and us woman watched a movie!
Sunday, we pretty much did the same thing: work outside! I seriously love days like that. I LOVE working in MY yard!!! Josh took me to Lowes and let me pick out several new flowers/plants. Who would of thought someone could be so excited about new plants, haha! We dug more holes on the other side of our property and planted more trees and then planted the flowers in the front. I promise to post some pictures soon!

Not much happened during the weekday, just the normal day to day.
This weekend I am hosting a Bridal Shower at my house for a friend of mine from school. I'm excited, but definitely have a lot of cleaning to do.
Then Sunday I have another friends shower in Thomasville, thankfully I just have to attend.

Today, I have a BIG to-do list I need to accomplish before this weekend. Including: getting our summer clothing out and packing up the winter gear..I can't believe it's time for this again.....

Follow up

Continuing on from my post ("Feelings") The class that was "taking over" Josh, he did end up dropping. He was really upset he had to do that, but the teacher just wasn't explaining everything (he wasn't American) and it made it hard for Josh. It also made it hard, because he was spending all his time working out it and not enough on the other classes and made it hard to work. At first it was hard, because we thought it was going to set him back, but we sat down and talked for a long time, and figured that we weren't even sure if it would set him back, because we don't know where he is in the program, yet and when he will graduate. There might be a class that he has to wait an extra semester for anyways. Plus this class he didn't need to have to get in his program, he needs it as a pre-req for the Doctorate program. I know God has it all under control, so we ended up feeling peace about it. Now I have my husband, somewhat, back.

I can't believe it's already the middle of March. I'm so excited about spring time! I love this time of year, except the weather has been crazy. One day it's hot, the next it's cold and wet.

I have a lot going on this month and next month: Ballet Magnificat, 2 wedding showers (one I'm throwing and one for a childhood friend) NYC and Boston Trip, wedding for a good friend....Before I know it, it will be May! I enjoy having something to look forward too, because for the last two month's I have had nothing exciting happen..

This past weekend Josh went out of town for work, which kept me at home, alone :( I'm thankful he had the job, but I don't like being home alone. I got to spend extra time with my family though, and I know absence make the heart grow fonder..ok,ok, I know it was only 3 nights.

Today I have no plans..Just going to enjoy an "off" day!

Happy St. Patricks Day!

VOTE!!!

So, this was all my brilliant sister Elisabeth's idea! She heard it on the news and said us girls must take part!
WTXL put on a contest  for 8 tickets to see Mamma Mia on March 21st! Contest includes dinner at Georgios Fine Food and Spirits and transportation by Five Star Limousine. You post a video of you singing your favorite Mamma Mia song (abba) and enter it. They will will pick the top 5 and then after that the video that has the most votes from other people win! Sounded easy, but it has been crazy doing it all. We started making the video (we decided to make a medley music video type thing.) The process was so funny, but the editing, not so much. It took us about 3 days to edit everything and make it look somewhat like we wanted. I think it turned out great!  Then we had problems uploading the video and it took another 5 hours or so figuring it out. Thanks to everyone the helped..haha!

So, they finally announced the top 5! We made the top!!!
Now we just have to get a bunch of people to vote..From what I've heard you can vote once a day! Not sure if that is true yet.
We have put so much work into this it would suck not to win..haha!

Since you read this post you might as well go and vote!!
Here is the site:
http://pix.wtxl.tv/Contests/ContestGallery.aspx?me=218

Click on our video (watch it if you want) and press "Vote for this Video". It will make you sign up..All you have to include is a name, last name, password and login (you can create a bogo name if you want, but they don't send any spam mail) Then you will be automatically signed in. Go back to the contests page and re-click vote for this video (some reason it doesn't work the first time). You should only be able to vote once that day, so if it still allows you to vote, it didn't go through.
We really appreciate it!
The winner is suppose to be announced this weekend. We will let you know what happens!!!

Ballet Magnificat!!!!

I will update later to follow up on my last post..I know it was somewhat of a downer...but I have some exciting news!!

March 18th...Me and 4 others young ladies from the studio I teach at will be opening for Ballet Magnificats performance here in Thomasville! If you aren't sure who Ballet Magnificat is you can read more about them on their website at www.balletmagnificat.com, but to fill you in a little: They are a Christian Professional dance company based in Jacksonville, Mississippi. They are my ALL time favorite dance company! They tour all around the world, performing Biblical stories. They are coming to Thomasville to do their performance of Ruth!! We were asked to do an open dance right before they begin!!! We will also get to meet the dancers and warm up with them :)

Yeah this will make my year!!! It is such an honor, but I can't say I am extremely nervous. Not only will they be seeing us dance, but every dancer, dance lover, in Thomasville and surrounding area's will too..YIKES!

I will fill you in how it goes later..but if you are in the area on this day you need to get a ticket and come, you WONT regret it!!!
